Asplendid assortment of silver jewellery pieces in inventive designs adorns the display windows of Hong Kong designer Daisy Chan at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW).
Chan established her brand, Thinking Daisy Jewellery, in 2018. The company combines ingenious craftsmanship and stylish expressions to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Chan explained, “The company name is inspired by the adage, ‘thinking out of the box.’ It is also the central concept of the brand.” A graduate of the Fine Arts Department of Hong Kong Art School and the Jewelry Design Department of Hong Kong Baptist University, Chan is a lover of nature, architecture and the arts.
The brand offers three hero silver jewellery collections: Zero 999, Soul 925 and Italian Love. Each collection is a “pursuit of beauty,” noted Chan.
Among these, the Muse series from Soul 925 is inspired by the designer’s muse – female architect Zaha Hadid who found fame for her futuristic design philosophy. The series’ design element is composed of overlapping curves of a building interspersed with colour blocks, lines and triangles.
Italian frosted gold craftsmanship, meanwhile, helped create a diamond sparkle effect. The top layer uses cold enamel technology to bring out a unique colour, lustre and texture. Chan won accolades from the Muse Design Awards, New York Product Design Awards and International Design Awards for this distinctive design.
Thinking Daisy Jewellery has made a name for itself in Hong Kong, China and Singapore. At JGW 2024, Chan is aiming to introduce the brand to international audiences, specifically those from Europe and the US.
