Excitement and optimism are high as the widely anticipated finished jewellery section of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
In focus at JGW 2024 are new products and services as well as the Orient Odyssey pearl exhibit and the launch of the Gold Jewellery Pavilion, said show organiser Informa Markets Jewellery.
Loose diamonds, pearls and gems are on display at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) from September 16 to 20 while a diverse array of finished jewellery, packaging products and technology solutions are being showcased at HKCEC until September 22.
JGW 2024 edition is hosting more than 3,300 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions.
Meanwhile at AWE, exhibitors are placing their most scintillating collections in the limelight. Brightening up Shaun Gems International’s display windows is an impressive 53.24-carat untreated lavender star sapphire. Shaun Ajodan, president of Shaun Gems, said the rare stone is very clean and has genuine asterism. Price per carat is US$4,750 or a total of US$252,890.
Vijay Laxmi Ltd is also offering a broad inventory of sapphires in calibrated sizes. It also specialises in multicolour layouts.
Sales Director Shubham Jain said, “We cater to a diverse audience, so we provide both heated and unheated stones. We hope to meet new clients, partners and suppliers and look forward to fruitful interactions and meaningful connections at JGW.”
