Hong Kong-based Rio Pearl is out to impress professional trade buyers at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong with its innovative offerings.

The pearl farmer and dealer recently launched two revolutionary products that are taking the market by storm: Rainbow Gold South Sea pearls and M White South Sea pearls. Both pearl products are produced in Rio Pearl’s farms off the pristine waters of the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar.

Introduced in 2023, Rainbow Gold South Sea pearls display mesmerising shades of red, pink and green. While such pearls are a naturally occurring variant of golden South Sea pearls, producing entire lots of these in top quality is quite a feat – one that took Rio Pearl a few years to achieve and perfect.

M White South Sea, meanwhile, was unveiled early this year as Myanmar’s first top-quality white South Sea pearl. The country is known for producing predominantly golden South Sea pearls.

According to Rio Pearl, strong demand for these products testifies to buyers’ preference for innovative products that stand out in the market.

“Rainbow Gold is considered a premium pearl and is favoured in various countries. M White South Sea pearls are preferred by customers seeking an exquisite and dedicated lustre,” said the company. Rio Pearl is not resting on its laurels though. Its research and development efforts continue, currently with the goal to upgrade the quality and appearance of these pearls as well as identifying methods to bolster production at its farms in Myanmar.
