A treasure trove of rare gemstones will dazzle professional trade buyers at the Fine Gem Pavilion of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2024 at the AsiaWorld-Expo from September 16 to 20. These include exceptional unheated sapphires, rubies and emeralds as well as spectacular chrysoberyl, tourmalines, garnets and spinels.
Third-generation family business Abouchar SA specialises in sourcing and cutting high-quality gemstones. A range of mostly unheated sapphires, rubies and emeralds as well as special tourmalines, spinels, garnets and chrysoberyls will be among the Swiss company's offerings at JGW this year.
Shaun Gems International from New York City will showcase some rare gemstones sourced from Sri Lanka.
Among these gems are a 22.74-carat natural unheated chrysoberyl cat’s eye, a spectacular 18.01-carat natural unheated oval Ceylon Padparadscha sapphire and a 25.13-carat cabochon Ceylon sapphire, all with authenticity reports from AGL laboratory.
Serving the industry since 1981, Shaun Gems serves as a direct importer and supplier of fine natural precious stones. It maintains a consistent stock of high-quality blue sapphires, rubies and emeralds as well as pink, yellow, purple green and other fancy colour sapphires. Cuts include radiant, trillion, princess, half moon and other fancy shapes.
Hong Kong’s PV Gems, a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, deals in high-end Colombian emeralds, Burmese rubies and Kashmir and Sri Lankan sapphires.
The company will also have a range of exquisite jewellery on offer at the show. These will include a convertible ring/pendant with a 20-carat Colombian Muzo emerald as well as stunning rings, one with a 20-carat royal blue sapphire and another with a 6-carat Pigeon Blood Burmese ruby.
PV Gems also plans to show a range of top make natural polished diamonds.
