Companies from French Polynesia and Myanmar are casting the spotlight on their famed pearls at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2024.
Naturally, Tahitian pearls headline the participation of French Polynesian companies in the show.
Boutique – Import H&V entered the pearl industry in 2017 with the mission to make the Tahitian pearl available and accessible to a wider range of consumers.
The company is training its sights on Southeast Asia where it aims to establish a stronger foothold by end-2025.
To this end, it is participating in international jewellery trade fairs in Hong Kong to build relationships with local businesses and buyers from other Asian markets.
Mangareva Pearl Color, meanwhile, has been involved in the production of high-value Tahitian pearls for the last two decades.
The company said it ensures that its pearl oysters are maintained in optimal conditions by controlling their environment, water temperature and plankton quality, among other factors. Its expertise and know-how have been essential to creating high-value pearls of the utmost quality.
Mangareva Pearl Color sorts, polishes and supplies its pearls to manufacturers seeking to make top-quality pearl jewellery.
It is presenting loose Tahitian pearls in a variety of shapes and colours at JGW’s materials section taking place at AsiaWorld-Expo from September 18 to 22.
For its part, K&K Pearls & Jewellery from Myanmar will be highlighting its country’s South Sea pearls.
According to the company, which was established in 2016, Myanmar is traditionally known for its South Sea pearls in pinkish silver and in deep gold.
At JGW, K&K Pearls & Jewellery will be offering an extensive selection of these pearls in a variety of sizes.
