Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGTD) will help kickstart the jewellery industry’s comeback in a post-lockdown world when it opens its doors on February 12 for its three-day run at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery and Italian Exhibition Group SpA, JGTD is positioned as the B2B fair to expand international business into new markets. The trade show is powered by DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), JGTD’s Official Partner, and the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG), the fair’s Industry Partner.
Occupying 46 per cent more net exhibition space than the 2022 inaugural fair, JGTD 2023 features around 350 suppliers of finished jewellery, coloured gemstones, diamonds, pearls and technology solutions from over 20 countries and regions.
Aside from the finest exhibits, JGTD is hosting the JWA Dubai Special Edition Awards Presentation Ceremony and Panel Discussion, which will take place on Day 1 of the fair. The regional edition of Informa Markets Jewellery’s Jewellery World Awards (JWA), JWA Dubai is one of the industry’s most prestigious yearly celebrations of exceptional individuals and businesses within the sector.
On Day 2, Paola de Luca, creative director and founder of Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, will present “The Jewellery Trendbook 2024+ “From Consumer Culture to New Market Opportunities.” The session will cover emerging developments and environmental changes and their impact on consumer culture and purchasing behaviour.
JGTD likewise precedes the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) Congress, which will be hosted by DMCC from February 14 to 17 at the Almas Conference Centre in Dubai. The Congress is one of the world’s biggest gatherings of leaders in the coloured gemstone sector this year.
