The industry’s digital transformation is not only changing how diamonds are sold; it is also impacting the diamond production and supply chain, a Surat-based diamond manufacturer said recently.
“This will be more imminent in the coming years for the diamond industry as it looks to evolve more and more digitally,” said SRK, one of the exhibitors at Jewellery & Gem Digital World.
The diamond manufacturer said it is ready to capture opportunities in the new digital era.
“In this increasingly data-centric world, we are preparing for more digital services and customer touch points. We have invested approximately US$4.7 million in IT systems since 2016, and we plan to invest more for better digitisation,” SRK said. “From mapping the Diamond Journey to online sales, our systems are well integrated to work effectively with critical data elements.”
Meanwhile, the company said it is offering an exclusive collection of diamond layouts for necklaces and tennis bracelets at J&G Digital World. SRK produces layouts in various shapes and in sizes ranging from 0.30 carat to 30 carats.
Stones destined for its diamond layouts are handpicked by a team of experts. It takes hundreds of minutes and up to six expert hands to assemble a single layout, it added.
“As operations resume, we are looking forward to natural diamond purchases as long-term investments and meaningful symbols of lasting love, memorable occasions and a renewed sense of luxury,” the manufacturer said.
