Morebelli Sarl of Madagascar is turning the spotlight on its collection of Paraiba tourmalines from the Mavuco mine in Mozambique as well as Santa Maria aquamarines from Madagascar.
The company said its Paraiba tourmalines are comparable in colour to their highly favoured Brazilian counterparts. The stones are available in various sizes of up to 73 carats. Madagascar’s Santa Maria aquamarines meanwhile bear the most striking blue colour in the market today.
Morebelli’s gems are sourced directly from mines in Madagascar and cut in the company’s own manufacturing facility.
The company is looking to meet prospective clients from China, Hong Kong, the US and Europe and make inroads in new markets. “This year we expect to beat our previous sales record. We are also joining the ICA Pavilion, which could present enormous opportunities to meet new clients,” the company said.
