Diamond specialist Mikisa Gems is offering patented UltraBrights melee diamonds, featuring an innovative cut that optimally enhances the stone's brilliance, fire and scintillation.
Mikisa Gems, supplier of finely cut small diamonds, launched UltraBrights in Hong Kong last year. According to the company, the product has since garnered positive feedback from buyers. At the September Fair, Mikisa Gems is aiming to promote Ultrabrights to more Asian customers.
An UltraBrights diamond has 49 facets as opposed to 57 in a normal round brilliant cut stone. The design specifically enhances the visual appearance and improves the light optimisation of very small diamonds. UltraBrights diamonds are best suited for pavé settings or as accent stones.
Also available at its booth are regular top-end diamonds in full and single cuts as well as custom-made diamond design and manufacturing services for high-tech diamonds.
It is likewise placing emphasis on “CertiS” – a diamond parcel certification system, which was developed in-house by Mikisa.
“CertiS does not only give a detailed grading report of cut, colour, clarity and origin of melee parcels; it is also part of Mikisa's Tracking and Compliance System,” revealed Mark Goossens, UltraBrights designer and partner at Mikisa Gems. “This system guarantees pipeline integrity and compliance to best manufacturing and trade practises.”
According to the company, offering top-range products and services are part and parcel of Mikisa's core business values. With jewellery and watch manufacturers and retailers as its main clients, the supplier said it takes crucial steps to fully understand buyers' requirements and translate these into product and supply specifications.
“We hope to build on last year's success of UltraBrights and expand its customer base. We also look forward to explaining additional concepts on pipeline integrity and compliance, which is quite unique for a melee diamond manufacturer,” added Goossens.
