The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has unveiled its new App that plays a pivotal role in its transformation to fully digital reports by 2025.

Aside from interactive tools on the 4Cs and useful diamond knowledge, the revamped client-facing portal lets users view, save and share information on their diamonds. 

It will be a primary access point to GIA’s digital reports, allowing these to be customised, downloaded as PDF files, scanned with QR codes or sent to clients and partners via text, email or other sharing software. 

Compatible with Apple and Android devices, the GIA app enables manufacturers and retailers to readily access information on their diamonds while providing a modern, updated customer experience at retail counters. Reports can be added to Apple Wallet as well for easy access. 

GIA is shifting to fully digital reports by 2025. Its first printed report to be fully transformed is the GIA Diamond Dossier^®, its most popular report, which will be only available in digital format from January 2, 2023.
