Founded in 2013 by top-notch scientists and entrepreneurs in Zhejiang, China, Ningbo Crysdiam Industrial Technology Co Ltd is among the most advanced lab-grown diamond (LGD) producers in the world today.

In 2014, it established the first microwave plasma-enhanced chemical
vapor deposition (MPCVD) single crystal diamond production line, becoming the first company in China that specialises in the industrial production of large-sized LGDs using the MPCVD process.

Ningbo Crysdiam has also made a name for itself in manufacturing LGDs for jewellery in H colour or above and with VS2 clarity grades or higher. According to the company, a single rough LGD can produce a polished round brilliant LGD centre stone weighing up to 5 carats and four side stones of around 0.30 carat. Ningbo Crysdiam likewise manufactures fancy colour LGDs.

It has a diversified client portfolio that includes mainland Chinese and overseas diamond manufacturers and jewellers.

Owing to its strong research and development capability, Ningbo Crysdiam owns 17 international and national patents. It also has 3,000 square metres of E0-grade workshops, 500 square metres of E0-grade R&D laboratory, and 300 square metres of sales office. Majority of its 150-strong workforce are doctorate and master’s degree holders and technical staff.

To further support its innovative endeavours, Ningbo Crysdiam is building a diamond industrial park in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, with a total planned land area of approximately 82,000 square metres and a construction area of 70,000 square metres.

The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion within the year. The facility is expected to produce and process 1.2 million carats of large-size LGDs annually, further realising the company’s vision to become an internationally renowned supplier of high-end LGD materials, equipment and devices.
