Shanghai Zhengshi Technology Co Ltd (ZS-Tech) is spearheading innovation and development in the lab-grown diamond sector, particularly with regards to the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth method. The multinational company has proven its mastery of the process by pioneering key initiatives that cement its position as a leading producer of gem-quality CVD diamonds in a wide range of sizes, colours and clarity grades.
ZS-Tech specialises in the research and development (R&D), production and sales of industrial-grade to gem-quality lab-grown diamonds. It has a business presence in over 27 countries and regions, and operates wholly owned subsidiaries in Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles.
Among its milestones is its record-breaking 16.41-carat princess-cut lab-grown diamond produced in 2021, which was certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as the world’s largest lab-grown CVD diamond. GIA experts graded the diamond using the institute’s standard rigorous process for lab-grown diamonds.
ZS-Tech also prides itself on its ability to offer high-quality "as-grown" diamonds. The manufacturer’s technical prowess enables it to produce lab-grown diamonds of
1 to 17 carats in at least G-colour and a clarity grade of VS1 or higher without the need for post-growth treatment or clarity enhancement.
The company also perfected the MPCVD (Microwave Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) process – another significant R&D breakthrough that benefits the entire lab-grown diamond community.
ZS-Tech said it has successfully addressed challenges in ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency in the mass production of lab-grown diamonds for industrial and jewellery-making applications.
The company remains firmly committed to delivering lab-grown diamonds of bigger sizes and better quality while continually improving the manufacturing process by developing new techniques and materials.
