Gemstone and jewellery companies are eager to cast the spotlight on their modernisation strategies at the 9th edition of the JNA Awards, with the Industry Innovation of the Year category attracting the most number of entries.
The JNA Awards’ Industry Innovation of the Year was once again the most popular category in terms of entries, thereby scoring the highest number of companies shortlisted as Honourees for the 2020 edition.
Eight Honourees were grouped into sub-categories, namely Customer Engagement, Marketing and Technology. Among the shortlisted companies are miners, manufacturers, retailers, service providers as well as vertically integrated conglomerates, ranging from established companies with more than a century of operations to start-ups. The size of the workforce varied too – from a small team of more than ten to thousands of personnel.
“Despite differences in their business nature, history and culture, these outstanding companies have one thing in common. They all demonstrated an ability to challenge the status quo and push their thinking further to develop innovative ways to enhance their business operations, with positive results. They have become trailblazers in their own right,” shared Letitia Chow, JNA Awards chairperson and director of Business Development – Jewellery Group at Informa Markets.
Recipients of all categories will be announced at the virtual JNA Awards Ceremony on October 27.
JNA Awards 2020 is supported by Headline Partners Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, Shanghai Diamond Exchange, and DANAT, together with Honoured Partners KGK Group, China Gems and Jade Exchange and Guangdong Land (Shenzhen) Co Ltd.
