Jewellers are elevating platinum to new heights, unveiling stylish and versatile pieces that highlight the metal’s purity, tenacity and elegance. Platinum is being reimagined for everyday wear – contemporary in form yet timeless in spirit.
Platinum Guild International KK (PGI Japan), the marketing organisation of PGI in Japan, introduced 17 new jewellery pieces under its Platinum Woman brand.
The collection – a result of collaborations with Japanese jewellery brands 4℃, Vendome Aoyama, Ginza Tanaka and Ponte Vecchio – offers refined pieces at accessible price points, with some items priced at around JPY100,000 (approximately US$634) or below.
Each partner brand infused its signature creativity into the Platinum Woman line. 4℃ presented an elegant droplet motif symbolising natural beauty; Vendome Aoyama offered platinum and diamond necklaces and earrings that capture the moment light radiates outward; Ginza Tanaka combined dual circle motifs – one organically textured and the other with a mirror finish – to express harmony between contrast and unity; while Ponte Vecchio delivered intricate designs inspired by honeycomb and cross, a nod to geometric refinement.
“The Platinum Woman collection celebrates those who embrace their authenticity, confidence and inner glow,” PGI noted. “Every platinum piece embodies empowerment and elegance for women, designed to enhance any moment in their daily lives.”
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Luk Fook Jewellery explored platinum’s masculine appeal with its CCool Collection, showcasing an array of platinum jewellery for men.
A standout piece was a buffalo horn bracelet, which symbolises strength and courage through meticulous artistry and an electro-black finish accentuating platinum’s cool lustre. It also included a pendant defined by clean geometric lines and interlocking rings that exude modern minimalism and rugged aesthetic. Black accents, meanwhile, create contrast against platinum’s lustrous finish.
