Contemporary jewellery designs from esteemed houses showcase the brilliance and enduring appeal of diamonds among discerning consumers.
Luxury jeweller Boucheron recently unveiled its new Carte Blanche high jewellery collection, Or Bleu. Inspired by the waters of Iceland, the 26-piece collection captures the essence of water in all its forms and textures.
One of the standout pieces is Cascade, a 148-cm long necklace, which set a record as the longest ever crafted by Boucheron. This white gold necklace is adorned with 1,816 diamonds of different sizes and can be transformed into a shorter necklace, from which a pair of earrings can be detached.
Meanwhile, Hearts On Fire launched the Barre Collection as part of its global rebranding. Inspired by the vibrant energy of the metropolis, the collection’s diamond jewellery pieces “break the rules of fine jewellery” with unconventionally set floating diamonds and graphic gold elements, according to the company.
“Our Barre collection epitomises the new creative expression of Hearts On Fire, where we believe in wearing diamonds with ease and a little attitude, and in taking pleasure in the blazing beauty they bring to even the simplest moment,” said Yunjo Lee, chief creative officer of Hearts On Fire.
Cartier also introduced an interesting perspective on wildlife through its Nature Sauvage high jewellery collection that showcases playful designs of various animals to ignite imagination. An example is the Art Deco-inspired Alae necklace, which is embellished with diamonds and onyx, and a diamond-studded beetle appearing to have landed on the clasp.
