Coloured gemstones inject character and sophistication into freshly unveiled jewellery collections – a further testament to the market’s growing preference for these beloved treasures from nature.
Van Cleef & Arpels breathed new life into one of its most iconic themes in its Two Butterfly jewellery collection. A dazzling combination of colour and asymmetry, the pieces reinterpret the grace of butterflies in flight.
The butterflies are adorned with turquoise, with the intense blue colours melding perfectly with the warmth of yellow gold. The earrings, rings and necklaces in this collection are further embellished with white diamonds to create bold contrasts.
Gübelin Jewellery meanwhile presented Flaming Grace, a special sculptural cocktail ring featuring a rare pink-orange Padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka, at Art Genève 2022 earlier this month. The ring is further accentuated with pastel sapphires and diamonds in a refined mix of cuts.
Colours are also the stars of luxury jeweller Stephen Silver’s iconic creations. Inspired by Very Peri – Pantone’s 2022 Colour of the Year – the company is offering intricately designed pieces featuring blue and violet sapphires, garnets, spinels and amethyst, to name a few.
Other collections feature pastel gemstones such as aquamarines, tourmalines, pink sapphires and moonstones.
